Mac-Mac Index

Big Mac Index (The Economist) illustrates the purchasing power of USD in various countries by indexing how much a Big Mac burger costs in their local currencies.

This Mac ’N’ Mac Index combines the findings of the original Big Mac Index and visualises them alongside the price of an iPhone in each country. The index covers the OECD countries that have an iPhone Xr listed on their official Apple store as of writing.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the countries in the Northern Europe and North America rank the highest in the Big Mac price index.

And the country with the lowest Big Mac price, Turkey also had the highest iPhone price. Cheap burgers but expensive smart phones. This is a tricky trade off…
